Raceway taking it up a gear

Blue Ribbon Raceway will set the wheels rolling this Saturday 20th October for the 2012/13 season.

To kick a full packed racing season in to action, Late Models will bring out the power to put on what should be a spectacular field of racing. The Late Models own Mat Crimmins who organises the class says a they have an high number of cars registered for the upcoming season which many of will attend Blue Ribbon Raceway.

Along with the high powered Late Models, Blue Ribbon Raceway is running the annual Dimboola Traders Junior Feature. Once again thanks to the generous support of the Dimboola Traders, the Juniors are ready and rearing to kick of the season with which should be a good field of cars.

Vintage Heavy Hot Rods will take to the track along with the regular support classes that put on some great racing at Horsham.  Come on out and show your support for the local drivers. Some of the local talent you will see feature in the V8 Trucks- Wes Bell, Dean Thomas and Luke James, Street Stocks Richard Bansemer and newcomer Jason Burns, ASCF Ladies Alison Chrystie along with sisters Emma and Kathryn Wilken, Production Sedans/ 3 Litres will feature Steve Hately and Matt Gerlach. Limited Sporties will travel from afar to resume their battle at the track, we should see Mick Rizzoli, Craig Ansell and the Aston Family return.

Come out and support the club which will open the season with a refurbished race track and new parking facilities which will enable patrons to view race action from the comfort of their own vehicles. The club have undertaken a major overhaul of the existing race track placing several loads of clay on the sandstone race surface.

Gates open at 5.30pm with racing commencing at 6.30pm.
