Raceway Ready To Roll

The canteen is in place, the toilets have arrived and Horsham Motor Sports Club members are ready to roll with the official opening of their new Blue Ribbon Raceway on Saturday night. A church minister will bless the track during an opening ceremony and district drivers will be introduced to the crowd before cars roar into action.

The opening, from 7pm, will mark a triumph for club and community workers who have devoted countless volunteer hours shaping the new track and surrounds on the Blue Ribbon Road, north of Horsham.

The Culmination of a Dream

About 27 years ago Horsham Motor Sports Club members started lobbying to build a speedway track in the Horsham area.

When cars start belting around the club’s new Blue Ribbon Raceway at Kalkee about 7pm on Saturday, their dream will finally come true.

Speedway Geared to Blast Off

Mud will fly and engines will throb at Horsham Motor Sports Club’s inaugural meeting at Blue Ribbon Raceway this weekend.

Speedway fans will hear the roar of cars belting around a 410 metre dirt track for the first time in the Horsham district when racing starts at 7pm on Saturday.
