Speedway Success Despite the Rain

Officials have labelled Horsham Motor Sports Club’s first speedway meeting a success despite wintry weather.

President Rob Tucker said more than 1200 spectators attended the inaugural meeting at Blue Ribbon Raceway at the weekend.

“Considering the weather would have kept a few away, we were pleased with the turnout”,Mr Tucker said.

“From what we can gather everyone was happy with the event and everything ran smoothly.”

“All reports back from the drivers indicate they can’t wait to come back and race.”

Hamilton driver Andrew Smith, driving street stock car number 18: was the overall top point scorer of the night, collecting three first places.
