A long season of Formula 500 racing was came down to one race at Kalkee on Saturday night, where the final round of the Victorian Formula 500 Stampede series was decided.
Starting positions for the feature race were decided from four heat races during the evening. Heat race wins were shared amongst Terry Rankin and Jack Bell along with Shane Van Duynhoven and Steven Van Ginigan. A huge field of Street Stock are set to race this Saturday night at Kalkee’s Blue Ribbon Raceway with 32 drivers from across Victoria and SA nominated to race in the annual Street Stock 1000.
Drivers will race in three heat races during the night which will decided their starting positions in the feature final.

It was about 15 or 16 years ago the idea was thrown up between Shaun Queale, the late Robin Thomas and Wes Bell. Two trucks were built, approved by NASR and hit the track.
Horsham Motor Sports Club celebrated twenty years of racing at Blue Ribbon Raceway on Saturday. Speedway drivers from all corners of Victoria and South Australia made the journey to help celebrate the Kalkee track.
On top of the bill was the Victorian Modified Production Association who was also celebrating 20 years of association.
