Midget Title Winner Mark Cecil Ceases Myers Run.

The weather set a perfect scene for some great racing on Saturday night at Blue Ribbon Speedway.

The GP midgets did not disappoint when contesting their Victorian Title. Favoured driver Australia 1, Dennis Myers, got caught behind a slower car which allowed Mark Cecill to overtake him and gain an uncatchable lead. Myers drove hard to chase down Cecill but ran out of laps in the 20 lap final.

Huge Variety on Opening Speedway Program this Saturday

V13 – Rex Konig, 63, of Jung Will be one of the several former speedway enthusiasts getting back to the track for the HMSC vintage and classic weekend.

This weekends opening meeting includes a large variety and two classes which have never appeared at the Blue Ribbon. They are the Humpy Holdens and the Golden Oldies, both comprising of Holden or Falcons mainly from the 50’s.
